Getting old, getting done with soccer, and getting one with nature

Yesterday was Kyle's birthday. The big 3-0! He was on-call, so that was kind of a bummer, but I think he had a good day over-all.

These pictures are so out of order. This is after the celebrations- the balloon is stuck up there and if you look closely, above the vent is a big black mark. Apparently Spencer was trying to get the balloon down and threw MY shoe to hit it. It's now stuck up there too. . . It's a good thing my birthday is coming up, because I may need to get new shoes.

Looks like they are all enjoying the oreo ice cream cake immensely.

We put 10 candles on the cake and had him blow them out. Then we did it again and again. We wanted him to blow out 30 candles without the fire hazard :)

After opening his presents in the morning.
At work, his M.A. decorated his desk with black balloons and stuff. Dr. R gave him a cane with a bunch of old stuff on it - like a magnifying glass. If he brings it home today, I'll take a pic of it and post it.

Soccer season is officially over. Here's the team.

Spencer and Coach with his trophy and certificate. It's all worth it for the trophy.

Last week we went to the nature center here.

Bunnies and Stuff

Parker at the botanical gardens

Grandma and Carly at the gardens. My mom is here visiting. It's been so fun to have her here.

At the aquarium

One of the reasons my mom is here, is that she delivered our new bunnies to us. We love them! They are SO cute and the kids love having pets!

Spencer with his bunny. So far her name has been Yoda, Rosey, Lightening, Rainbow, and Bolt. Hopefully he'll decide on a name soon.

This is Carly's bunny, Wendy. Her favorite movie is Peter Pan - thus the name Wendy.

We love having these guys. They just run around our backyard since it's all enclosed. They sleep in their cage at night, but other than that, they roam free. Lucky Bunnies.

Fast post

We had a fun primary activity on Saturday. Here's Spencer posing in his usual way.

The soccer game... Spencer and coach.

We went to a fun place on Friday with a bunch of friends. They have those inflatable slides/jumpers and then a fun playground all indoors. It was a fun place to go since it was snowing a little outside!

Spencer and his cool soccer moves.

Easter Hooplah

I am blogging this before church... you say I should probably be going over my sharing time? ... well you're not the boss of me. :)

Parker is taking a nap and the kids are enthralled with watching "The Testaments" so here I am.
Here is what we've done for Easter so far...

Friday night we colored eggs. We won't mention the "accident" that occured as Kyle was telling the kids to be careful with the dye and not to spill it... when HE knocked over a dark blue filled cup and it happened to land on ME! Oh, and we also won't mention my now blue feet....

Also on Friday, a few friends and I did a Easter egg hunt for our kids at one of the parks. They had so much fun!

The boys.

The finished product of our coloring eggs night

Here is some more.
We woke up to candy all over the floor and the Easter bunny had visited. Now we are looking forward to going to church (I say this as Spencer is trying to convince me that it's a holiday so we shouldn't have to go to church) and then coming home to a nice Easter dinner. :)
Just hope that you all have a great Easter day!

Carly's 3!

Carly had a Happy Birthday yesterday! She wanted a princess party, so that's what she got.
She got a lot of princess presents... here's all 3 kids trying out the goods.
Notice Spencer's makeup and poor Parker (I swear i didn't do this to him).

Carly also got a see saw. They love it.

Carly modeling her new princess gear. She made us call her "Princess" all day. When we'd forget and call her Carly, she'd correct us pretty fast.

The birthday cake.

The gifts

Early morning present opening. Love the sleepy eyes.

We went to a place that had a bunch of inflatable toys and it was so much fun! Adults can go on the stuff so we definitely took advantage! I wasn't even sore the next day, like I thought I'd be!

Spring Break... Us style

For Spencer's spring break we went to Utah. It has been awhile so we decided to make the journey. In fact, it was the first time that most of our family met Parker! It was a lot of fun. And now... the pictures:

Cute couple, no? We love Brent baby and Jodie too.

The true colors of the sisters. Love these girls!

Cute family pic after church

That's all the pictures we got of us in Spring Glen.... I'm waiting on pics from certain sisters who shall remain nameless, to send me theirs.
Cute picture of Spencer at the park

Cute picture of the parents

So, it snowed and was so cold while we were in Richfield. Kyle took the kids four-wheeling and pulled them in the sled. They had fun, but were cold afterwards.

Cousins!

On a sunny day (finally)- playing some frisbee

Nice moves Katie!

You too Aaron.

Incriminating picture. Not obeying doctors orders I see.... :)

We had a lot of fun and it really meant a lot that everyone came down to see us! We love our family and are glad we were able to spend time with everyone.

Birthdays and other fun stuff.

Happy Birthday Spencer!
Spencer turned 6 yesterday and was SO excited for this day.

Here he is with his camping "dirt" and bug cake. His dad thought it would be fun to put trick candles on his cake. It WAS fun! The kids laughed and laughed and laughed.

A pic of Spencer with his presents that he opened that morning. Thanks to EVERYONE who remembered his special day and made it a big deal for him... because it is!
Yes, those are Lobos shirts.... that is all Spencer asked for. We're still coming to grips with the fact that our son is rebelling already HA! But there is no need to fear- he says he still likes Utah, but thinks the wolf is cooler, so he likes the Lobos better....

Spencer has also been asking for a skateboard, so we put our safety issues behind us and gave in. We're just hoping that he doesn't have to go see Kyle at work anytime soon....

And is this kid the cutest or what?

Us first thing in the morning, getting ready to open presents.

Carly just being cute.
I just asked her to go help Spencer clean something up and she said, "that's impossible" in the most serious voice and walked away...

Food Face.

Spencer with his last inquiry project board. We are now working on an inquiry that most of you are aware of... What drinks make you burp more. We are very proud.

I caught Kyle right before he was heading out to work last weekend when he was on-call. Wouldn't you love to see him if you were a patient in the hospital? I know I would.

And this is one exhausted girl most of the time. She refuses to take naps, but just can't seem to catch all the sleep she needs. But that makes for some cute shots like this!
