More Schtuff...

Saturday we celebrated Kyle's birthday early by roasting hotdogs and an abundance of smores in our backyard.

Sunday morning birthday celebration

Getting ready to enjoy the ice cream cake

Wanting us to sing the birthday song a little louder.

The kids were so excited for their dad's birthday.
Spencer got a little black eye because he didn't move out of the way of a wild pitch.... from dad.
(You can see the baseball thread marks on his face, poor kid)

Carly's birthday catepillars are turning into butterflies!  It's been super fun to watch them.

Schtuff...

We had a whirlwind day yesterday (which seems to be the norm lately) and when we got home, Parker got out of the van, came in the house, promptly sat down and fell asleep.

We had a fun weekend with some special visitors from a land of cows and corn.  My sister and her family came and stayed with us.  We spent a lot of that time enjoying the fabulous weather outside.  Here's Parker doing a flip on the trampoline with sprinklers underneath.

My cute niece all smooshed up.

Carly rocking out to the amazing weather.

Spencer only had one baseball game last week because of rain.  It was actually a much needed break!
And looky here, he made it to first base!  We are improving!!! :)

We finally colored eggs for Easter... I won't say when we actually got to it, but here is proof that we did it!

Before Easter, we had our neighborhood potluck Easter hunt.  Have I mentioned how much I love our neighbors and neighborhood?  Here's Parker with his loot.

 Some of the neighbors.

Our cute Carly on Easter.  I got a cute email from her primary teacher that said:
"You know your cute Carly is in my Primary class and she was so excited today to talk about Easter and Jesus and the Resurrection. I wanted to tell you what she said. We used little pictures to briefly explain the crucifixion and resurrection then the kids all got to have a turn to tell what they knew about Jesus and the resurrection. After everyone had a turn Carly turned to me and said, 'This is real. Jesus is real. This really happened. Some people don't believe in Jesus but he really lives.' It was so, so sweet. I love my calling! "

Love this girl!!

We also celebrated Carly's birthday with her friends.  She had a rainbow birthday party.  It was really fun.

 The cupcakes for her party.

The girls having fun.

That's the end.

Number 6 and Spring Break

Carly is 6 today! It's been a good day so far. And we are excited to go to her pick of restaurants tonight... McDonalds. :P Whatever makes her happy. We are so glad she's in our family!

Excited to open her presents.

Afterwards, with her loot. And then we had roll-ups for breakfast- her favorite.

Excited to go to school today. (She had the choice of going skiing with Dad or going to school and she picked school! She's definitely doesn't take after me, but we are so glad she loves school so much!)

Spencer had his first baseball game on Monday. It is his first year playing and it seems the other kids have been playing for quite awhile, so it's been a good learning experience. Right after this picture was taken, he hit the ball (pop fly to third and got out). We were just excited he hit it! :)

We had Spring Break last week and so we went on a little trip. We went to St. George, but took some stops in Richfield for a couple of nights to break up the driving and to see family. This is at a park in Richfield.

Spencer being cute.

Parker loves the slide!

We went to Cove Fort on the way and it was really fun! We had fun learning about the pioneers in that area. After we were done, Spencer said, "I am so glad I am not a pioneer" We asked why and he said, "because I would hate to use the chamber pots!" :)

We got to go on top of the fort.

The favorite thing about St. George for most everyone was swimming.

We also spent a fun evening at the St. George Temple.

Spencer is our paleontologist (that's what he wants to be when he grows up). His favorite part of the trip was the dinosaur museum there. This is him (and Parker) with a T-Rex footprint. The museum guide let them go behind the "restricted section" to get these pictures.

Cool footprints that they found in St. George about 10 years ago.

It was fun to get away for a little while, enjoy some sun, and see family. We need to plan another trip soon!
