Breaking News

This just in... The Christensen Family can now consider themselves homeowners....

Isn't that nuts? We're still soaking it all in. Our realtor called last night at like 9 PM to tell us the good news.
We weren't suppose to find out until Friday, but thank goodness they made a decision and let us know early, I don't
know if my body could have handled another sleepless night. So... we are EXCITED! We will be going through the
whole closing process this month and will close on September 27- moving in that weekend. The pictures of the house are
now off of the internet, so we'll get over there sometime and take some pictures of it to blog. YAY!

Hoping for a change...

So, things in the Christensen household are trying to get exciting...
We put an offer in on a home last night, so we will see what happens.
We are not expecting anything, but are hoping that things will work
out. If we don't get this house, then something better will work out later. It
would just be nice not to have to house hunt anymore. Anyway, we love this house. It
is small, but a newer home and is well taken care of. So we'll see...
Other than that, we are still just hanging out down here in the "Land of enchantment"
(better known to us as the Land of Entrapment...)
And while I am thinking about it, I am going to take a moment to tell our fellow bloggers who have not updated their blog lately, to do so.
We are getting sick of looking at the same old thing, day after day. :) No names mentioned, but
you know who you are!

Trying to get a smile out of Carly to record for posterity, she is a smiley girl,
believe it or not, but just stubborn about smiling for the camera.

I just think this is such a funny picture of Carly, it's half smile-half weird food tasting face...

Spencer has the same goal as his parents... to go to Hawaii again. He makes

a pretty cute hula girl huh!

Spencer loves to finger paint, actually he just loves to

make a mess, but finger painting is legal.

Spencer got a new haircut...I know, not much difference, just shorter... but I

had to bribe him (he could watch a movie on the portable DVD) to do it.

What would parents do without the blessed world of the Bribe?

It's Our Life

We have a household of sickies. It started with Kyle, then moved on to our two kids. As I am typing, Spencer is laying on the floor closing his eyes because his eyes hurt, and he keeps getting up and coming over to remind me every few minutes that "Mom, I am SO sick!" His poor eyes are all red and teary, and if he doesn't cough up a lung, I'll be surprised... and I am holding Carly going on about 8 hours straight because as soon as I put her down, she starts crying, and I just can't stand that sound for very long, it's just so sad. And last night, we all went to bed at a record time - about 8:30, we were all in bed. I am just waiting for me to start feeling that sore throat coming on... well, if there is one good thing about being sick, it's that it reminds us of how good it feels to be healthy!
Spencer and Carly posing for yet another picture

It's amazing that Spencer doesn't hurt himself more often doing stuff like this.

Instead he gets his bruises, and goose eggs from just running into walls when he's not looking.

Carly had her first bite of solid food today, I was trying to distract her from being so needy.

She just looked at me like I was crazy and spit it out.

This is Spencer at the aquarium a few days ago.

Carly after a few tries of eating a spoonful. I don't think she ate any, I think

she just spit it all out.

The latest...

Well, we haven't been doing a ton this last week, just enjoying the time that we have together. We have gone to the zoo a lot, played around at home, etc. Kyle has been busy working and is finally credentialled at the surgery center and can finally scrub in and assist. He loves that part of it! Now, if the credentialling at the hospital would go through... once it does, then all of the paperwork, processing, licensing and stuff will be done. It will be so nice not to have those things to worry about. Spencer is constantly amazing me by the things he says... where did he get this stuff? Kyle and I just laugh at him all of the time. Carly is growing, growing! At her 4 month appointment last Friday, she weighed 14 lbs 14 oz and was 25 1/4 inches long. 85 percentile in both. She's a great baby and every once in awhile we get a laugh out of her. She is smiling all of the time now, which is so much fun! Anyway, that's our life in a nutshell.

Carly is growing up so fast! She is holding her head up so
good already.

Spencer and Dad looking pretty handsome for church

We keep thinking that this hat will fit her, but obviously
it doesn't yet. I just love this picture though.

Spencer loves to dress up in the costumes from our
costume box. Carly just likes watching him.

One of our many trips to the zoo, we've gone twice this week already.
Spencer just loves it and it gives us a chance to get out of the house.

Albuquerque F-U-N

The Daniels family came all the way to Albuquerque
to visit their favorite grandkids, nephew, & niece.
It was a great time had by all... zoo, aquarium, botanical
gardens, swimming lessons, sleeping on the floor, listening to someone (who will remain anonymous) snore like a lawn mower... Fun times, fun times...
Spencer looking fairly concerned about feeding the pretty birds.
Spencer riding a giant ant... the ant resembles many that have invaded our
kitchen lately.... Darn you Ants!

This stupid bird stole the cup, shortly after this picture was taken, thus

making the bird feeding end abruptly.

Spencer at swimming lessons. He goes under the water like a pro.
He's not afraid of anything, even falling bridges.

Look at the animals at the zoo!
