Spring Break... Us style

For Spencer's spring break we went to Utah. It has been awhile so we decided to make the journey. In fact, it was the first time that most of our family met Parker! It was a lot of fun. And now... the pictures:

Cute couple, no? We love Brent baby and Jodie too.

The true colors of the sisters. Love these girls!

Cute family pic after church

That's all the pictures we got of us in Spring Glen.... I'm waiting on pics from certain sisters who shall remain nameless, to send me theirs.
Cute picture of Spencer at the park

Cute picture of the parents

So, it snowed and was so cold while we were in Richfield. Kyle took the kids four-wheeling and pulled them in the sled. They had fun, but were cold afterwards.

Cousins!

On a sunny day (finally)- playing some frisbee

Nice moves Katie!

You too Aaron.

Incriminating picture. Not obeying doctors orders I see.... :)

The girls

We had a lot of fun and it really meant a lot that everyone came down to see us! We love our family and are glad we were able to spend time with everyone.

Birthdays and other fun stuff.

Happy Birthday Spencer!
Spencer turned 6 yesterday and was SO excited for this day.

Here he is with his camping "dirt" and bug cake. His dad thought it would be fun to put trick candles on his cake. It WAS fun! The kids laughed and laughed and laughed.

A pic of Spencer with his presents that he opened that morning. Thanks to EVERYONE who remembered his special day and made it a big deal for him... because it is!
Yes, those are Lobos shirts.... that is all Spencer asked for. We're still coming to grips with the fact that our son is rebelling already HA! But there is no need to fear- he says he still likes Utah, but thinks the wolf is cooler, so he likes the Lobos better....

Spencer has also been asking for a skateboard, so we put our safety issues behind us and gave in. We're just hoping that he doesn't have to go see Kyle at work anytime soon....

And is this kid the cutest or what?

Us first thing in the morning, getting ready to open presents.

Carly just being cute.
I just asked her to go help Spencer clean something up and she said, "that's impossible" in the most serious voice and walked away...

Food Face.

Spencer with his last inquiry project board. We are now working on an inquiry that most of you are aware of... What drinks make you burp more. We are very proud.

I caught Kyle right before he was heading out to work last weekend when he was on-call. Wouldn't you love to see him if you were a patient in the hospital? I know I would.

And this is one exhausted girl most of the time. She refuses to take naps, but just can't seem to catch all the sleep she needs. But that makes for some cute shots like this!

Nothing too exciting...

but here is a post anyway.

Dad and Parker

Cutest cheeks.

We went to the botanical gardens for Valentine's Day. Don't these two look like they love each other?

This is Spencer's valentines box for school. I think it was pretty creative. Good job Spence!
And an FYI: The four that posted on the previous post- you guys will all get something. I can't leave you out, Tricia, for trying! :) Just send me your address via email and I will send it to you soon. Thanks guys!

Pay it forward

I thought this was a fun idea so here are the rules:

This is how it works..... The first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive a gift from me during this year. When and what will be a surprise. BUT, in order for you to leave a comment on my blog, you have to post this on your blog first. (That means that sometime during this year you will send a gift to 3 people as well.) Get it? So, the first 3 people to comment on this post will be the lucky ones! Good Luck

Kid stuff

Parker is starting to sit up...for just a few seconds and then he topples.

I took the kids to an open gym time at a gymnastics place. They loved it! This is Spencer in the pit of foam that he dove into from a big trampoline. He loved it!

At the same place, just a different trampoline.

Spencer jumping into the foam pit.

The cutest kids ever.

Super craziness

Super Bowl Craziness:

Yes, we have carried on a fun family tradition of junk food for the Super Bowl. Yum!

Looks exciting huh... Fun super bowl.

Just Craziness: Kyle has been called to be the 2nd counselor in the bishopric. He was sustained this Sunday. I am very proud of him. He hasn't slept well since we found out and he is feeling overwhelmed, but I know he will do a great job! Kyle's parents made the LONG trip down to support him. It was so neat to have them here and it meant a lot to us.

Kyle's dad was able to set him apart as a high priest. He did a really good job and it meant a lot to us to be able to have his dad be a part of this new responsibility. It was just a weird day. It was emotional, special, overwhelming, and just crazy.

Quick family photo before going to church.

Last Sunday the kids posed for us... Carly is a great poser.

Spencer lost his first tooth. He is SO excited! He lost it in primary and smiled the rest of the day so that people could see the gap in his teeth. The tooth fairy came and everything. I don't know what has happened to the tooth fairy, but inflation is making her a softy.

Before it fell out. Yuck!

More Stuff

So for Spencer's school, he has to do an inquiry project (like a science project). For his, we had to go to the zoo and aquarium to observe some animals. He also wants to put pictures of animals on his board for his presentation, so here are a couple of the pics we took for it.

Spencer noticed that the gills are on the underside of the Stingray, so we took a pic of it.

Whenever we go to the zoo, the hippos seem to be lifeless under the water, but this time, they were actually playing. One even came right up to the group of people on the bridge, turned his big bum towards us and proceeded to poop and woosh it's tail like a window wiper... thus some people on the bridge got sprayed with poop... HA! Glad it wasn't us because it WAS pretty funny. Hey, if I were a hippo in the zoo, I'd of done the same thing for pure entertainment value.

Carly at the aquarium with her usual picture face.

Yep, she is actually sleeping. Don't ask me how in that position... weird little girl.

My mom came down for a few days to help me out. (Thanks Mom!) I wish I would have taken more pics, but atleast I took one!

Stuff

Stuff we've been doing:

I took Carly to the Temple to walk around while Spencer was at school. I should really do this more often, but we live so far away... (no I am not thinking about those people in Peru that have to travel 32 hours to get to a temple). Anyway, she loved it. When we left she kept saying, "Bye Temple, have a good day", over and over again.

Do you think this kid needs a bra?

Look at all those cute people. They're all mine. It's not right to covet... so stop!

A moment that happens a little too often in our household-caught on tape.

On New Years Eve, we recapped the year on paper. That is Shamu on the top. On the bottom here, well Carly says it is Grandma and Grandpa...

Me and Kyle joined in on the fun. (Notice the U of U sign and the caption that says that the Utes beat Alabama in the Sugar bowl-We knew our team could do it before it even happened. Go Utes!) And yes, that IS money going down the toilet...

No better way to end a post I say!
