"take me out to the ballgame..."

We had a great time at the Isotopes Park for the Triple A all-star baseball game. We enjoyed free all-you-can-eat food and sodas. Spencer especially liked the free sprite and drank his share of them. We figured that he might as well enjoy it since it was free.

Spencer, Carly and Michelle before the game.
Tommy Lasorda is the guy in the middle with a blue shirt. He threw out the first pitch.
Spencer showing us his muscles.
Believe it or not.... I did catch a foul ball. It was really cool. The hitter fouled it back and I stood up and caught it with my bare hand. The crowd cheered as I showed off the ball. After we sat down, Spencer asked if he could throw it back on the field because "it wasn't our ball". I told him that I'm making an expection today. My ball!!!
This is a pic inside the New Mexico Orthopaedics suite. Since we are the team docs for the games, they give a very nice suite to enjoy.

All-star fever is in the air....

I was able to get some tickets through my work for the upcoming Triple A All-star baseball weekend. We were able to attend the fan-fest activity on saturday. It was fun. Monday is the home run derby and then on wednesday is the all-star game. The game is on ESPN if you want to watch. Maybe we'll paint our chests and have blue mohawks.

If you look real close, spencer is going down the slide on the left. He's just not going down the conventional way. But really, what fun would that be.

This is Orbit, the mascot for the Albuquerque Isotopes baseball team.

Can you see the blazing Christensen speed?

What about that speed? The pic is a little blurry cause I was running so fast.

Spencer loved hitting the balls on the tee. He did really good.

This was fun, but i needed more practice.

A few more steps toward bipedalism.

Almost 15 months old and finally showing signs of being a two legged mammal.

Carly is finally walking, somewhat. (with help).

We love when she says Hi at the end of this video.

Splish Splash!

So we've had a great couple of weeks. The weather has been really warm so we've been having fun outside. These are pictures of a barbecue we had. All the kids slip-n-slided and played in a kiddie pool. It kept them so entertained that the parents could actually sit around and have conversations! It was amazing. :)
Also Spencer has had swimming lessons, so there are pictures of that.

Luke and Spencer drying off so they could start round two of slipping and sliding....
Some of the kids running on the slip-n-slide

Spencer having fun.

Spencer at the pool for swimming lessons. Whenever I ask him to smile, he does some weird pose like this.

Spencers class.

The barbecue again. The pictures got out of order for some reason.

The adults conversing...

(Notice my pretty flowers mom?)

And of course Carly was excited to swim too...until she got in the water and got splashed. Then she didn't want anything to do with it.

Utah Trip

We went to Utah for Memorial weekend. We endured the LONG drive up, but we did have our new mini van, so that helped! We went to see Katie graduate from highschool. It was a fun trip- so here are some pictures.

Carly just crawling on the floor at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Spencer and Porter love books! It was nice to have grandparents who would read to them so that the parents got a break from it! :)

Spencer loved playing with his cousin Porter.

Carly, Grandma, and Grandpa enjoying the nice weather.

Carly after church. See her newest tooth?

The graduate... Hello- can you get any more honor cords? Nope, Katie got every one! She makes the rest of us look bad!
The siblings... and Grandpa
The kids were NOT happy to pose with the graduate.

Just playing in the water
Some more reading.

Do any of you recognize this insane individual?

This individual has a history of extreme violence and should be considered armed and dangerous.... very dangerous. Her lips have the ability to wrap around your throat closing off your airway. She has been known to snort in your face with those enormous nostrils thus creating projectile boogers that can pierce your skin. Her eyes may appear beautiful, but don't get near them. They have the ability to erode your brain with just a flash of the pupils. Be afraid, be very afraid. If you know who this individual is, please place your best guess in the comments. I'm afraid that I can't confirm the true identity, due to the fear of retaliation. Thanks and watch your back.

6 down, eternity to go...

Happy Anniversary to us!
Boy, a lot has changed in 6 years! Who would have thought we'd be living in New Mexico with 2 cute kids?

Just a picture of almost everyone that was at the temple with us. It's fun to look at it and see how much everyone has changed and how lives have changed too.

Just a fun picture from the reception

So, we actually have babysitters tonight... like the first time in a year! So we'll probably

go out on the town and do something fun.

Another Graduation in the family...

Well, Spencer graduated from Pre-school a couple days ago. Just add Him onto the list of graduates... and yes, we expect an ipod for him. :) J/K
He was really excited and it was fun to see him walk across the stage to get his diploma. Then, right after the graduation, he ran across the gym playing tag with the other graduates. I bet that didn't happen at any of YOUR ceremonies... :)

He looks so innocent in this picture, but also a little mischievious... that's Spencer for ya!

This is the group of kids in the pre-school.

And Carly thinks she's graduated from needing help to eat. She's starting to refuse to eat unless we let her feed herself...

Fathers and Sons

Spencer and Kyle went to the Fathers and Sons campout last weekend
Spencer was SO excited!

Spencer had so much fun. When he came home he told me about playing in the fire, throwing rocks in the water, catching a horny toad, seeing catepillars and worms, honking at cows in the road, and that he does not like roasted marshamellows...

They sure smelled like smoke when they got home! And Spencer was SO dirty! His hands were black!

There is nothing like camping. You get to eat all sorts of goodies.

Me and Carly had fun at home
